LOCAL CONNECTIONS
Inspired by Frithjof Bergmann‘s thesis (New Work/New Culture), an Austrian farm in Freinberg close to the German border is converted to a co-working space, which provides modern technology such as 3D-printers for production and creative work. This is the basis to counter decentralization and to offer an autarkic existence in the country. People go there to work for themselves or others in local teams and farmes offer their natural goods at a market stand.
A parasite-like organic structure penetrates the farm and connects different buildings with different functions to cause an interplay between work and public interaction as well as optimized accessibility.
