HAMAM

HAMAM is a Designtool for structurally optimized shells and ambient performance.

The tool is used as a central technology application to create structure, spacial infrastructure and spacial qualities within a 2D-drawing that is then translated into 3D-geometry.

In this project we have chosen to apply this design tool to create 5 Hamams. We have designed the tool primarily to create a series of hierarchical spaces defined by Illumination , Acoustics and Ornamentation by applying Apertures and geometrical Texture Patterns included in the tool kit. Due to the fact that the Shell is generated by only one single surface, it can be structurally analysed and calculated simultaneously while drafting.
