RING THE THING

“Ring The Thing” is a Concept Design for a device that consists of 2 physical smart rings, as well as an application for Android and IOS which connects its users to their jewelry also digitally.

When moving the hand or touching a surface of a particular material, the ring creates a specific sound and makes adjustments to a song the user is listening to. This means by wearing the ring one can become a creator or conductor on the go.

Both rings are designed to match with each other and have an inbuilt motion tracking sensor. The sensor is able to track both, the exact 3-Dimensional location within a physical space and certain motion arrangements like up- and down movements and rotations. Additionally the upper ring includes a microphone which captures sounds of the surroundings on the user’s desire.
